As I was catching up on the women’s Tour of Flanders just now, this helicopter shot of the Oude Kwaremont showed itself.
Strewn all along this stretch of field is trash, presumably left behind by fans who were there for the men’s race earlier. I remember a few years ago when the Tour de France came through our area there were some pretty upset locals who were left to clean up the land that they allowed fans to stand on, as well as the sides of roads and ditches littered with garbage that local municipalities made good again.
I’m not here to judge, but I will anyway.

People are disgusting all over the world. The amount of litter along roadsides really pisses me off 🤬
It’s such a simple act NOT to do, littering. Cigarette butts out the window of cars is a specialty in France.
