Thanks to cycling buddy Stephen for letting me know about this series of ‘behind the scenes’ videos produced for the last few editions of the Tour of Flanders. If you have some time on your hands during your lockdown I’d highly recommend them, especially if you combine them with watching the race itself either before or after. It’s like seeing the thing in 3 dimensions. They are also pretty humorous. Here’s a gem from the 2017 edition in which a Bora rider is asking for toilet paper. The directeur sportif first asks if ‘it’s for Peter’, then after finding out it was only for the domestique he hands him just a couple of wipes.
