Because the Marmotte Alps and Pyrenees (around 170 km and well over 5000 meters) aren’t enough for the average psychopath, there’s a new Fondo in town – the Tour des Stations Ultra Fondo (August 11th, 2018), in the French-speaking area of Switzerland.

Part of me would love to give it a go. I’ve never ridden in that area, but I’m guessing you have?
I’ve been in the area but not riding it. Last 2 summers not ridden as much as I’d like for a variety of reasons. I’ve had strong indoor seasons but then life happens. Recovering from shingles over last 7 weeks. Really knocks it out of you. Not recommended!
I’ve know 3 people this year with shingles. It sounds horrible. Are you all good now?
Overall good, and think no problems but when I get back on turbo for short ride you know the virus is still hanging about. Normally only hits you once but I’ve a friend who’s had it twice and she’s under 50!
Ask me in a few months. Then again, don’t ask me.
