The last of the Grand Tour routes is up, which I’m sure Chris Horner is hoping will translate into a team (any team, probably) out there remembering who he is again.
The parcours this year looks like it might not suit him anyway, with a little bit more time trialing and fewer summit finishes. It also doesn’t even touch the Pyreness, which means it’s not coming close to home, so it’ll have to be another year, I think, before we make our way over to Spain to watch a stage or two.
It’s nice to think about the grand tours since that means summer and sunshine. Fed up with winter already and it hasn’t really got going yet. We’ve been able to get out on the bikes this month and usually January is a total non-cycling month due to snow, ice or sheer freezing cold.
Happy new cycling year Gerry!
Shoko was making the same comment just yesterday and we haven’t even HAD a winter yet! All the best this year and good luck with the new book, Steph!
