First, yes, I’ve climbed the Grand Colombier, the final couple of ascents of today’s stage. I’d rather not remember it because it was 35C and my 11-27 + banana bag full of clothes and tools and flip flops resulted in the whole experience making me feel (and possible look) like this character (sitting, not dancing) from The Triplets of Belleville.

The peloton climbs all over the Grand Colombier today, doing two ascents on the west side before looping around to the south and attacking the final climb that Karsten and I did a couple of years ago. It’s a pretty area along a lake and the helicopter shots should be great.

Tomorrow is a rest day, which can always mean fireworks, but Roglic is firmly in yellow and there are some huge Alpine stages coming up next week. If I could make a prediction I’d say that ‘Pog’ will attack, but since he pretty much has this whole Tour, I’m not really going out on a limb here.
Another sound prediction.
I think I’ll stop while I’m ahead.
Good scheme.
