I feel a little self-conscious about telling you this, but I’ve got not much else to talk about right now. I’ve gone and bought another little pricey item for the bike that has reduced my weight another whopping 46 grams. Here it is:
This is the Tune Wassertrager 2.0 bottle holder and it comes in at an insane 9 grams. You can barely feel it in your hand when you take it out of the box. The good news is that it actually works really well, too, and came with the stamp of approval from a guy who knows a thing or two about losing weight (on and off his bike) – Rich Vélo. They look good, too, so there.
After next month’s payday I think it’s going to be light-weight tubes and thin bar tape, which are both extremely good on the ‘euro per gram’ scale.
I’ll leave you with an hour well spent if you have the time: this year’s Women’s Amstel Gold Race. I’ve been watching women’s races a lot lately on the trainer and it’s pretty exciting stuff. This win was something to behold.
That’s outrageously light, brother. Outrageous!
I thought the same think, Jim. Both the weight and the fact I bought them!
Have you thought of attaching a helium balloon to your bike? That should make it lighter still.
There might be a question of ‘drag’ but I like your out-of-the-box thinking!
Work needed on streamlined balloons.
