This past weekend 44|5 Cycling Tours ventured east towards the Côte d’Azur for some reconnoitering that we hope will bear fruit this fall. We did 3 great rides that might be part of a new future tour, but most importantly, we got to see Rich Vélo and try to hang on his wheel (unsuccessful) up the Madone.
On our rides Saturday and Sunday we passed Sanary-sur-Mer, Toulon, Cannes, Monaco, and the village of Eze. I don’t have more time to talk about it, unfortunately, so I hope you enjoy the photo montage below.
Part Two of my Haute Route interview coming soon, I hope.
Thanks to Gerry and John for a great ride on La Cote d’Azur – if we had only had a “bit” more sun…
And thank you for your expert local knowledge! The sun hit at the right time (before the descent), so no complaints from this side 😉
Gerry, glad you enjoyed riding on my roads.
Where do you live, Sheree?
That looks as though there might be worse places to pedal.
If you like sun, sea and hills, it’s pretty decent.
