Somewhere during the next day or two this blog’s half a millionth view will have come and gone. To get a grip on what this number means, if it were dollars I could just about afford a studio apartment in Vancouver. Nearly.
To thank you, dear reader, I enclose a photo from my phone on yesterday’s ride in the Cévennes.
Well done you!
Why thank you…you 😉
Congratulations, it’s always an enjoyable read so we hope you keep writing
Thanks, Nicole!
Always enjoy your posts Gerry😁 (aka Bryan in Brittany).
Always wondered what you looked like, Bryan…and there you are! Nice bonsai, btw.
Helping to get the 500,000. Bravo, Gerry. It’s hard to keep the blog efforts going. Many start and more peter out
Cheers, Jan. It is hard, you’re right. And I’ve got it easy; there’s a blogger who commented below who writes every single day. That’s commitment.
Happy to add to that total. I think you’d be very fortunate to find a studio apt in Vancouver at that price. By the way, are you riding in the inaugural Paris Nice Challenge on Sat 12 March? If I’d known about it earlier then last week I may have trained for it.
I think you’re right about Van, Luc. I’ll never be able to afford to move back there, even if I ever wanted to. Not doing that sportive, no, but only because the weekend with Shoko was already planned. Looks like a fantastic course, so maybe next year.
no thanks necessary..always my pleasure
Well, thanks anyway…
Always great to follow your posts … and just look at that photo: with Le Sud who needs Vancouver?
You’re right. We’re lucky people down here.
And there I was just getting ready to celebrate 300,000 views and now I’ve been well and truly put in my place. Congratulations on bringing so much southern sunshine into our lives.
You haven’t been running as long as I have, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Or maybe you’re counting ‘visitors’ instead of ‘views’? I went with the higher number, naturally.
No, it was views. The visitor number is much, much less.
That’s a hefty apartment, man… Good grief! Congrats though. 😉
Canadian bucks, but still expensive.
Your posts are always an enjoyable read. Having just finished Krabbé’s The Rider for the first time (forgive me being so late to the party) I look forward to a visit to your area sometime in the coming years 🙂
Thanks, Matt. The Rider is the best bit of cycling fiction out there in my mind. I might just read it again, since we have a journalist coming down for a ‘Rider’ story in a few months!
congrats on half a million that is a lot of views for sure
