The last of the big 3-week tours in Europe, the Vuelta a España, just announced its route this morning. This year’s race (which starts in Pamplona) will be quite north centric and will definitely be one for the climbers, with 10 uphill finishes and only one time trial.
It’s going to be a great sporting summer on the telly – Giro, TdF, Olympics, Vuelta and Tour of Britain. Sadly won’t be making any of those live, but we will manage the Tour de Limousin and some local bike races.
I keep forgetting about the Olympics. I’m still thinking about going up for the road races, but I have entirely too many cool things to spend my money on this summer. Who shows up for the Tour du Limousin usually? The dates are too close to the Vuelta for it to be a warm-up race, I’d say.
You can always stay at Nicole’s place in London….
She already kindly offered, so that gives me a little more motivation.
