It’s been raining like mad here for the past few days and I think today is going to be the one sunny day we see for the rest of the week. For that reason I had an early lunch, digested, and hit the road for the afternoon. Today I went up to the south flank of Pic St Loup, behind a very tidy village called Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles. The route up was nothing new, so I’ll start with the village itself.
On the other side of this village is a small road that squiggles up a hill and down into a valley, before winding up another few hundred meters before emptying out on the west side of Pic St Loup. I only did the up and down bits. Here is ‘up’, with PSL in the distance.
And this is after ‘down’, in a very quiet little valley.
And then I turned back and retraced my route back home. This is Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles from above.
