I wanted to be quick with this one since I think I made a couple of you worried about my wellbeing after yesterday’s sulky blog post.
Well today is another day and I had a good ride in the Piédmont Cévenol this morning, thanks probably to 3 changes that I made to my set-up yesterday:
- Chucked in my new G8 2620 insoles
- Brought my saddle up half a centimeter
- Knocked it backwards by the same distance
The first thing I noticed was that my feet must have been swimming around in my shoes before because I suddenly had a lot more stability, which seemed to give me more of a confident pedal stroke. It could very well be that the higher saddle height and bigger ‘aft’ helped, too. For the first time since maybe getting the Crisp I felt like I was solid in my pedal-to-arse compartment.

Excellent news!
Hooray.
Buddy, go see a proper bike fitter…
Carsten..I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve said the same to him…
I feel like I’m being gang up on…are you two talking in the background!?
