HighRoad Provence: A Keeper

I’ve had a ‘HighRoad Provence’ folder on my computer for at least 7 or 8 years, so it’s about time that 44|5 Cycling Tours actually ran one.

As is nearly always the case these days, this 8-day tour was created by our clients – in this case Rich Freggiaro, my oldest and most loyal one. He put out the word to his cycling buds in California that we’d be holding a special 10-year anniversary tour for Rich and two van full of riders decided to come!

This was a 3-base tour (Gordes, Mazan, Malaucene) that allowed us to ride in very distinct areas, which are near enough to ride from one to the other. In keeping with 44|5 tradition, there were no van transfers after everyone arrived from the airport.

We had a few hiccups, including a broken collarbone and an epic day of flat tires, but the tour was a resounding success overall and we are already talking about another one (in another area of France) for next year.

As for HighRoad Provence, it’s now going from empty folder to page on our website…as soon as have some time…next client arrives today!
