Keeping with our new tradition, here’s my regular training update, interspersed with non sequitur photos from my last ride.
There’s not a lot to report this week, other than the good news that I’m down to 71.9 kg (158.5 lb), which means I am one kg ahead of schedule. I’ve lost 2 of them since January 1st. This is encouraging because I’m not really trying very hard on the eating and drinking front. So far it’s mainly the extra time on the bike that’s making the difference.
On the bike it’s all good. I am doing really flat rides so far, which is causing some bum complaints, so that’s good – the ass being the overlooked body part that needs to be trained well for endurance events.

Next week I have 12 hours on the schedule, including a 4.5hr ride on the weekend. It’s not very exceptional yet, but it’s going to soon feel like a job, I’m sure. Luckily it is my job!

The weight loss is impressive for someone who has not really been trying. 🙂
Shoko is in Japan for a month, so those 2 kilos could be coming back very quickly.
